Share Your Memories With Us

Stories of Our Journey

For 100 years, Congregation Tiferes Israel has been the heart of Jewish life in Moncton—a place where generations have celebrated, mourned, learned, and grown together.

We invite you to share your memories and stories from our first century. Whether it’s a family story passed down through generations, a milestone you celebrated within these walls, a cherished memory from Hebrew school, or a moment that made this synagogue feel like home—we want to hear it. Your voices add to our collective experience.

Your stories will help us honor our past as we build our future. Please submit your memories below and become part of our living history.

By uploading your stories, you grant permission for us to feature them on our Centennial webpage and related anniversary events / publications. All contributors will be credited.

Help us celebrate 100 years of Congregation Tiferes Israel through pictures.

We’re gathering photos from our first century—weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, holiday celebrations, community gatherings, family portraits, youth group activities or everyday moments that capture life at our synagogue, even building renovations —every image adds to our shared history.  Whether your photos are recent or decades old, they’re part of our story.

Please submit your photos below to help us create the faces of our journey.

Tastes Of Our Journey

As part of our Kum A Heim centennial celebration, we are collecting family recipes to publish in a special online collection for the entire community to enjoy and carry forward. Whether it’s your grandmother’s brisket that took all day, a honey cake that only comes out right if you hum while you stir, or a kugel whose ingredient list reads “some noodles, some eggs, enough sour cream” — we want it all.

Don’t worry if the measurements aren’t precise. That’s the point. Submit it exactly as it was passed down to you — imperfect, human, and full of love.
