As the stars appear and Shabbat draws to a close, we invite all Kum a Heim attendees to linger a little longer and join us for a Melaveh Malkah — a beloved Jewish tradition of “escorting the Sabbath Queen” on her way.
In the spirit of this age-old custom, we gather after the Sabbath ends to celebrate with music, song, and good company — just as one would honour a departing monarch with joy and festivity rather than a quiet goodbye.
This is your night to sit back, relax, and soak it all in.
Reconnect with old friends. Welcome new ones. Share the stories that have made Tiferes Israel what it is — and listen to the ones you’ve never heard before. Whether your family helped lay the cornerstone, or you’re discovering this community for the very first time, there is a seat at the table for you.
The evening features live musical entertainment, a cash bar, and the kind of warm, unhurried conversation that only happens when a century’s worth of memories fills the room.
The celebration concludes at 11:30 PM.
