Kum A Heim Kiddush

Saturday, August 1, 2026 | Following Shabbos Morning Services | Synagogue Social Hall

One of the most beloved traditions in Jewish life is the Kiddush — that magical moment after Shabbos morning services when the sanctuary empties and the Social Hall fills with laughter, conversation, and the irresistible aromas of a table set with love.

For one hundred years, Tiferes Israel has gathered its community around tables just like this one. And this Shabbos, we do it again — together — as part of our once-in-a-century Kum A Heim celebration.

Whether you grew up running through these halls as a child, or you’re returning after years away,  or come to the Kiddush’s held weekly, this Kiddush is your welcome home. Pull up a chair, reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and let the spirit of Shabbos do what it has always done best — bring us together.

🍷 To Begin

As it has always been done, our Kiddush will open with the traditional blessing recited over wine or grape juice — the time-honoured sanctification that formally ushers in the holiness of Shabboa before the meal begins.

🍽️ The Spread

We’re doing it right! Expect a gorgeous spread featuring:

  • 🥯 Bagels
  • 🐟 Platters of lox & cream cheese
  • 🥗 Tuna & egg salads
  • 🥦 Fresh vegetable platters
  • 🍓 Seasonal fruits
  • 🍰 Sweets and treats
  • …and much, much more!

It’s Shabboa. It’s a centennial. We’re not holding back.

Join us after Shabbos Service

Shabbat Shalom — and welcome home. 🕯️
