Tree Dedication & Cemetery Visit   10:00am

Sunday, August 2 — A Walk Among Our Roots Congregation Tiferes Israel Cemetery

Departing the Synagogue at 9:30 AM | Return by 11:30 AM

Some moments call us home not just to celebrate, but to remember.

On Sunday morning, we invite you to join us at the Congregation Tiferes Israel Cemetery for one of the most meaningful moments of our Kum a Heim weekend. This is a time to honour those who came before us — the founders, the families, and the faithful who built everything we are gathered to celebrate.

During our visit, we will:

  • 10:00am – Participate in a tree planting and dedication ceremony, a living symbol of the next century of Jewish life in Moncton
  • Have time to walk the grounds and visit the graves of loved ones at your own pace 10:10 – 11:10am
  • Receive guidance from an on-site volunteer who can help you locate your family’s headstones
  • For those who wish to do so, Rabbi Yagod will offer a prayer at your family’s site.

This is your time. Whether you come to reflect, to reconnect, or simply to stand in the presence of those whose lives made ours possible — you are welcome here.

Transportation will be provided from the synagogue to the cemetery and back. We will depart promptly at 9:30 AM, and we will begin our return no later than 11:10 AM, arriving back at the synagogue by 11:30 AM.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes. The cemetery grounds may be uneven in places.

When: Sunday, August 2, 2026, Time: 10:00am

Where: Tiferes Israel Cemetery
